In the first blog of his fornightly series, Graham Green, from the Leaderboard Golf Centre in Reading talks about his desires to get fit to help improve his golf. He is doing so with the help of a personal trainer at the Revive Gym in Caversham. These entries will document his progress and hopefully give some advice and a few tips along the way.

In my last blog I mentioned the final-day collapse of Rory McIlroy at The Masters, so it would be unfair of me if I didn’t start this blog with a big congratulations to him on his astonishing and totally awe-inspired win in The US Open last month. We need some great fresh and enthusiastic blood to come into the sport and it looks like Rory is set to take the world by storm.

I blinked at the end of March and suddenly May was upon me...What happened to April?

Well it’s been a really busy and exciting start to the year. The weather so far has been wet but fairly mild; a far cry from the snow and freezing temperatures we experienced last January and February.

There have been some impressive new and innovative products released onto the market already this year and our custom-fitting team have been kept very busy and booked up. 

One notably popular product has been the Taylor Made R11 Driver with its cool looking white head.

March has also seen the launch of the new Leaderboard Improvement Centre, with coaching of the highest level offered to juniors/ adults and beginners/professionals alike.

We’ve only just entered 2011 and yet so many amazing and exciting things have happened. One can only imagine what spring will bring!
