Review: TaylorMade Golf Supreme Hybrid Bag

Written by  Sarah Tapscott on Friday, 26 August 2011
We review the TaylorMade Golf Supreme Hybrid Bag, to find out whether it's a golfing aide you really can't live without.

The TaylorMade Golf Supreme Hybrid Bag features:

• 14-Way Top Divider
• 9 Spacious Pockets
• The Organisation Of A Cart Bag In The Design Of A Stand Bag
• Accordion Style Expandable Side Pocket

As any golfer knows, it isn't always easy carting your golf clubs around the green. Bags are usually heavy, clumsy and often do not offer the storage you require. The TaylorMade Golf Supreme Hybrid Bag weighs less than 6lb, while still affording you storage for a full set of clubs as well as accessories, balls, and perhaps some finger sandwiches. After loading up, we were amazed at how much we could fit in. As a hybrid, this bag gives the impression of being a top range cart bag but with more flexibility and less bulk.

We easily fitted all our clubs and little extras for a day of golf, and were pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to find things once we had stored them. There is a 14-way top divider, which means no more rummaging around in the bottom of the cart to find what you need. It helps organise your clubs, as well as maximising storage. The 9 pockets are big enough for any extras you may need, and we really liked was the addition of an accordion style expandable side pocket, so space was not limited as is often the case when using a solid cart bag. The velour lining means it will be durable on and off pitch, and we definitely made use of the insulated cooler pocket with drainage ports for our refreshments; a must-have feature for keeping hydrated and focused out on the course.

Heavy loads often mean backache, but the quick release EVA foam ergonomic shoulder strap means you can move with ease and comfort, leaving you to concentrate on the game. Taylormade have also come up with the Fast Action Snap technology, which allows you to clip and lock important accessories to your bag for easy access.

The bag is always in an optimum position for you, ready for you to access your clubs, while the integrated stand system provides a stable base when your bag is not in use. The triangular shaped feet mean the bag is secure, even in the rough. If you prefer a harder shelled cart bag, TaylorMade's latest offering comes in the form of the Catalina Pro.

If you're looking for the dual benefits of a stand and cart bag, with plenty of easily accessible storage, then you can't go wrong here. Functional and stylish, you'll be teeing up while your opponents are still trying to find their clubs.

What The Web is Saying

"I don't think this is a bag for the hard core walker still but if you've been using say an Ogio Grom or similar you're in for a nice surprise with this bag." - golfwrx.com
