Weighing only 279 grams and with an aerodynamically shaped head and longer shaft, the result is a driver that allows you to swing at higher speeds and so create more distance. We saw our on-centre hits really fly with this driver, and this is perhaps where it is most successful. A particularly good club for straight hitters, we gained as much as 15 yards on some of our shots - very impressive.
The Ladies Burner Superfast 2.0 driver has been built with a larger club face which encourages a higher launch angle and less spin. In practice, this means longer distances from the tee.
Although you will see your best distances from on-centre shots, this driver will still give you good length even when you do not manage to hit the sweet spot. TaylorMade has designed the club with an inverted cone face which generates a larger sweet spot, allowing for more forgiveness while still maintaining the power in your shots. It's not the best on mishits though - there are more forgiving clubs available.
The driver's black face contrasted against a matte-finished white crown is not just there to look good. It has the practical purpose of helping the female golfer to align the club easily, while the white crown also reduces the glare that can often be a problem with glossier clubs. This white club head can be a little off-putting however, and does take a little getting used to.
TaylorMade Golf's Ladies Burner Superfast 2.0 driver comes with the longer and lighter Matrix X-Con 4.8 Graphite shaft. Designed to complement the light weight club, this shaft makes for an ease of swing that we found produced fantastic club head speeds. It can take time to feel comfortable using a driver with a longer shaft, but once you do there is no doubt you will see a real improvement in the distance of your drives.
Lady golfers of any handicap would benefit from using this driver. If you are looking for more distance out on the course, the Ladies Burner Superfast 2.0 driver is ideal. With a light, responsive feel, this club performs extremely well. It is built for distance, pure and simple.
