As was the case with the Method Core Drone Putter the Method Concept putter's design has a very futuristic look, but it serves a greater purpose than simply looking impressive, as it combines art with science to give you a smooth stroke on the green that will see your ball making a beeline for the hole.
Despite the putter's unusual shape, it plays just like a mallet but with a little kick thanks to the way its two body parts work in conjunction. While the face weighs in at just 90g the body carries most of the weight at 200g, the combination of which certainly affects how your shot plays out.
The weight distribution results in a very high MOI-to-head ratio and while the mallet only has a small footprint, it plays with the stability of a much larger club face. The combination of a lightweight aluminium face coupled with the density of the stainless steel body puts the centre of gravity further back and deeper, which is aided by Nike's Polymetal Groove Technology to encourage a more accurate, faster forward roll on impact.
The Nike Golf Method Concept looks amazing, which is not reason alone to buy a club but it certainly doesn't hurt. Fortunately it plays very well too with a good feel, and the weight distribution is ideal for a steady swing and a fast, straight putt. All the important ingredients for a good putter are present and correct. This eccentric club certainly has method in its madness.
