"This is a dream come true, it's nice to win in front of a home crowd and I wouldn't change it for anything else," Grace said afterwards.
The South African just held out long enough to overtake Britain's Jamie Elson, who had the clubhouse lead for most of the afternoon and signed for a nine-under 63 to finish in second.
But Grace's level par 72 was just enough to keep him at the top of the leaderboard, as he parred 16 holes for a 17 under finish.
The 23 year-old had been up early in the morning to finish off Saturday's round after thunderstorms had prematurely ended the day, and two final birdies at 17 and 18 took him to a three stroke lead going into the final round.
Play began slowly with a bogey at the second, but Grace's main competitors gave him little to worry about for the most part with George Coetzee suffering a run of three bogeys early on and Richard Finch ending in a tie for 24th.
It was Elson who posed a real challenge to the home favourite, who began the day barely in contention, but soared up the leaderboard with six birdies on the front nine and an impressive 30-foot eagle on the last to finish just one shot back.
A six-strong group tied for third place on 14 under include Scottish pair David Drysdale and Marc Warren, alongside South Africans Dawie Van der Walt, Michiel Bothma, Trevor Fisher Jnr, and Jaco Van Zyl.
