-----In this review we’re mainly going to focus on the XL 270 and the SL 290 drivers.
In the way in which we can fit these drivers, we’re maximising the player profile - people that like a lighter golf club will enjoy the 270, players that like something slightly heavier will appreciate the 290 and for those players who are amongst the elite and like a real tour feel to their golf club, we have the 310 gram tour.
Now, these drivers work incredibly well because they’ve taken away a lot of unnecessary weight from the clubs without reducing their playability, so you still get really good ball speed and maximum distance but with control and versatility.
Also you’ll notice in this golf club it comes with the Miyazaki shaft as standard, which is one of the lightest on the market. Ranging from 39 grams in the 270, 43 in the 290 and 59 grams in the 310 driver, the great thing about Miyazaki shafts is that you do not lose the performance.
Even though they’re very lightweight, there are many tour players using a 39 gram shaft. This is because Miyazaki provide some of the purest golfing shafts on the market.
You will also find that they have an international flex code system on the shaft, breaking it down into 4 quarters so you can actually see its performance profile, ranging from 0-10, with 10 being the stiffest and 0 being the most flexible.
You can actually see the characteristics of the shaft you’re buying into, making it ideal for custom fitting.
