Creating putters for women is exactly what Odyssey has done with their Divine putter range, designed specifically with the female golfer's putting stroke and style in mind. Their line includes the 2-ball, Rossie, Mini T, and Blade putters.
The Ladies Divine Putters have a multi-layered insert that is a little softer than the White Ice range and slightly firmer than the White Hot XG. This insert certainly makes a difference when trying to sink those putts. We found this feature gave the putters a softer feel and a steady roll from the ball once struck.
However, the softer insert can be off-putting as you don't get the as much sound feedback as you would with a more traditional steel putter. You do get used to it though, and the insert technology certainly offers a lot of forgiveness on most putts.
They also come with full-shaft offset which gives you a clear view down the shaft to the ball, giving more control and accuracy. We achieved plenty of central hits with this putter.
More specifically, the Odyssey Divine Ladies Putter comes in four different designs to choose from, offering a putter to suit just about every female golfer and style of stroke.
The 2-ball putter has an alignment aid, making lining up for a putt that bit easier. It was a great feeling for us to stand over a putt and be reassured that you are aiming exactly where you want the ball to go - a good feature for those who need to develop a more consistent putting stroke.
Odyssey's Rossie Putter has a mallet head design with a wider face. Its heavier putter head balances well with the shorter shaft lengths, providing excellent stability and control. The weighted head offers plenty of momentum in the swing, while the full-shaft offset gives a clear view of the guiding lines - great for those with a straight through or back stroke.
The Mini T has a heavier mallet head with weighted alignment wings to the rear, making it a far more stable putter. This, along with the Hi-Def alignment system, gave us a superior feel and excellent control over our putts.
A more traditional style, the Odyssey Divine Blade Ladies Putter is the safer choice and ideal for those with a straight putting stroke. It has a flat yet heavier putter head along with a shorter shaft length which we found produced more reliable performance overall.
What the Web is Saying
"The two ball alignment makes it easier and more accurate when lining up putts. The weighting rings move the centre of gravity deeper and further away from the face of the putter, which results in a high MOI and a smooth stroke that stays on it's intended line." - todaysgolfer.co.uk
"The Odyssey Devine Line 2-ball Ladies Putter is perfect for woman of any level handicap and improves stance and accuracy for a well developed putt." - ladiesgolfputters.com
"The Odyssey Devine Line Rossie Ladies Putter gives women a sure way to enjoy their game once again." - ladiesgolfputters.com
