As a fully signed up gadget nut I have tried and purchased quite a few of the products on the market - and I love them all. The purists amongst you will throw your hands up in horror and claim the traditional ways are the best; using a course planner,150 yard markers, and personal judgement but I disagree; technology is here to stay so you may as well embrace it.

 

The “s” word is of course snow; a word which sends an icicle through the heart of any golf club manager. We have been lucky so far this winter, he says, clutching his lucky rabbit's foot and touching wood, at both Dale Hill and Chart Hills.

 

Our team is well established now, and all feel confident and comfortable to put their thoughts, and ideas forward. We have a ruling and understanding that there is no such thing as a bad idea, because if you think about an idea and discuss it something will always come from it.

I still consider myself to be a relative newcomer to the game of golf, having come to the game only eight years ago at the tender age of 37, when I became general manager of Dale Hill Hotel and Golf Club.
