It's almost impossible to have played golf and never heard these words. But how much truth is there to the claim that putting is where the game is won or lost?

In my last blog I mentioned the final-day collapse of Rory McIlroy at The Masters, so it would be unfair of me if I didn’t start this blog with a big congratulations to him on his astonishing and totally awe-inspired win in The US Open last month. We need some great fresh and enthusiastic blood to come into the sport and it looks like Rory is set to take the world by storm.
